Covered Serving Platter

Mirror-polished in 18/10 stainless steel, the Covered Serving Platter pairs a broad round platter with a low, wide cover. The cover rises from two stepped rings into a smooth shoulder and a near-flat top framed by a slim raised ring, finished at its centre with a single polished brass ball finial. Beneath it, the platter's wide rim ends in a fine rolled bead, and two cast brass handles in a leaf-and-shell motif stand at either side so the piece can be carried to the table covered and lifted clear in one movement. The low profile keeps the cover steady on a busy service station and lets the platter take a generous presentation underneath — rice, grills, roasts or a composed main course. Specified for banquet tables, private dining and family-style service. Manufactured by Lotus Metal Works, Pakistan, since 1951. Sizes, finishes and engraving are made to order.
