Covered Entrée Dish

The Covered Entrée Dish is the piece a guest sees before the food does. A low domed cover, lifted by a turned brass finial, sits over a removable stainless food pan that lifts clear for service and returns for the next course. Cast brass handles in a leaf motif are fitted either side, and the whole vessel is seated on an integral footed base that keeps heat off the table linen and gives the piece its presence on a service station. Every surface is mirror-polished by hand and every seam dressed until it cannot be found. Specified for à la carte service, private dining rooms and banquet tables where a covered presentation is expected. Manufactured by Lotus Metal Works, Pakistan, since 1951. Sizes, finishes and engraving are made to order.
