Baroque Rectangular Chafing Dish

The Baroque Rectangular Chafing Dish is the ceremonial piece of the range. A mirror-polished stainless steel roll-top opens the full length of the food pan and is fronted by a cast brass crest of shell and acanthus leaves. Beneath it, a band of brass scrollwork runs across the frame, scrolled brass handles are fitted at each end, and the dish stands on four openwork cast brass legs with scrolled feet, above a polished base tray that carries the fuel holder. Every casting is finished and polished by hand before it is fitted, so the brass reads crisp and warm against the cool steel. Specified for wedding banquets, VIP dining and five-star buffets where the service line is part of the décor. Manufactured by Lotus Metal Works, Pakistan, since 1951.
